Exactly 2 years ago, on December 31st, 2019, a pneumonia outbreak in the city of Wuhan was publicly reported.
The conspiracy theory is that this date was chosen deliberately and symbolically:

Last day of the decade (yeah, I know, it depends on how you count, but still)
