November 23, 2014—Saturday Night Live (SNL) spoofed President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration this weekend by airing an updated version of The Schoolhouse Rock.
After shoving The Schoolhouse Rock’s bill (played by Keenan Thompson) down the steps of the Capitol Building, SNL’s President Obama (played by Jay Pharaoh) explains, “There’s actually an even easier way to get things done around here. It’s called an executive order.”
The executive order (played by Bobby Moynihan) introduces himself by singing, “I’m an executive order and I pretty much just happen.”
