A German hate preacher was allegedly allowed to live in Britain after being accused of recruiting 140 Daesh and al-Qaeda* members.
Brahim Belkaid reportedly moved toĀ the English city ofĀ Leicester fromĀ Germany inĀ 2013, when Theresa May was Home Secretary. His group, Die Wahre Religion (The True Religion) was banned inĀ Germany inĀ 2016.
The Sun newspaperĀ claimed Belkaid, 41, had been accused ofĀ inspiring 140 recruits inĀ Germany toĀ join Daesh and al-Qaeda.
In November 2016, German police launched 200 raids againstĀ the group and seized their assets.
While inĀ Britain Belkaid reportedly continued toĀ lead Die Wahre ReligionĀ ā which is not a proscribed organisation inĀ the UK.

He reportedly distributed literature inĀ Leicester which gave an extremist view ofĀ the Koran and was also seen preaching inĀ London and Coventry.
Belkaid used social media toĀ urge the destruction ofĀ the United States, according toĀ the media report.
“Extremism has no place inĀ the UK. The Home Secretary has the power toĀ exclude non-British nationals fromĀ the UK if he believes they represent a serious threat toĀ our society,” a Home Office spokesman told The Sun, who were followingĀ up a report inĀ theĀ Sunday Times.
Belkaid’s whereabouts are not known, while Theresa May and the UK Interior Ministry have yet toĀ comment onĀ the media report, which hasn’t been verified so far.
