Recently, The DOD and Minister of National Defense Bill Blair was under fire by Mainstream Media for his dereliction of duty to keep Canadians safe and his Government’s poor money management at DOD HQ.
On Feb 28, 2024, Jennifer Carr testified that Canadians are spending $5.1 Billion on private military contractors who are not bound to Canadian laws, as opposed to the $2.6 Billion spent on the public service – and the majority of the work subcontracted to the private sector can be done in-house by public service staff.
Not only is this a waste of taxpayer funds, but it poses a serious threat to National security – and allows the government to run military operations on citizens, as we saw over the pandemic.
Canadians deserve accountability, but when it will happen remains unknown.
The Canadian Armed Forces are being sucked dry by a shadow public service – and for decades, unchecked spending has created an army of consultants operating outside of the rules.
