Would be good if we ALL sent them our concerns views and suggestions. This is a watershed treaty for 800 million people that will affect us all in a very large way.
This partnership is not about free trade. Unfortunately it’s a “LIE” negotiated in secret by unbalanced and conflict ridden committees unfairly representing multinational corporations and the USA. TPP is “an agreement meant to manage its members’ trade and investment relations” at the expense of our sovereignty and probably our economic freedom. http://bit.ly/1mtQ5lC
Here are some of the issues that I raised:
Tariff Reduction:
Tariffs will be eliminated. How will the government’s lost revenue be replaced? Does this mean cuts to services?
FINANCIAL SERVICES CHAPTER:
Will this strip Canada of the very banking laws and regulations that gave us a huge advantage in the 2008 recession?
ISDS:
NAFTA has proven that those with the most “power” such as the USA are the dispute winners almost 100% of the time. http://bit.ly/1MKDSye
Temporary Foreign Workers:
TPP contains exemptions on temporary foreign workers. What safe guards are there for collection of taxes, national security, length of time they are here, citizenship rights, health care etc, http://bit.ly/1RdMUKt
Environmentalists concerns need to be addressed:
