China launches world’s first quantum satellite successfully
China launched its Quantum Science Satellite on Tuesday morning Beijing time from Jiuqan Satellite Launch Centre in the Gobi desert to perform pioneering experiments in quantum communication and test the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics in space.

China gets first data from its ‘hack-proof’ satellite
Chinese scientists have received the first batch of data from the world’s first quantum satellite, which was launched on Tuesday. 202 megabytes of data was received in good quality on Thursday, and was transferred to China’s National Space Science Center.
