For years we have been using PHP 7.X and before that php 5.X.Ā versions on our servers back end for this site. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PHP
We have made the move to PHP 8.2.11 The reason for us sticking with 7.6 was for reasons of compatibility and stability. At the close of 2023, at the cusp of 2024 it is / was time to get down to debugging and doing some digital house cleaning to get the site coded right for the more secure and faster PHP framework.
In addition to back end server revamp we have also switched up the theme here # Breaking-News.ca – In fact we will be switching it up some more.
