A preliminary magnitude 5.4 earthquake that struck southern Mexico has reportedly prompted the evacuation of some office buildings in Mexico City after they began swaying.
No injuries have been immediately reported from the shaking in the Mexican capital, nor any damages. Earthquakes are often strongly felt in Mexico City, as it was built on a former lakebed.
