The Georgiy Pobedonosets submarine successfully launched a ballistic missile from the Sea of Okhotsk into a range in northern Russia.
MOSCOW (Sputnik)Ā ā Russia’s Pacific Fleet Georgiy Pobedonosets submarine has successfully launched a ballistic missile intoĀ a range inĀ northern Russia asĀ part ofĀ combat drills, the Defense Ministry said Wednesday.”As part ofĀ final combat training, the Pacific Fleet’s Georgiy Pobedonosets nuclear submarineā¦ launched a ballistic missile fromĀ the Sea ofĀ Okhotsk intoĀ the Chizha testing site inĀ Northern Russia,” the ministry said.
It added that the Project 667BDR Kalmar Class vessel was underĀ water atĀ the time ofĀ the launch and that the submarine-launched ballistic missile’s (SLBM) nose cone arrived atĀ the Chizha site atĀ a designated time. HaTTiP
