Amidst mounting political instability in Venezuela, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a notice late-Tuesday, warning the US air operators to move out of the Venezuelan airspace.
Key Details (via Reuters):
Prohibits US air operators from flying below 26,000 feet over Venezuela’s airspace until further notice.
All US air operators in Venezuela asked to depart within 48 hours.
This comes after the Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido called on the armed forces to help him oust President Nicolas Maduro, re-igniting the political turmoil and unrest.
Looks like most airlines are already avoiding Venezuelan airspace.
