The Chinese government just accidentally admitted (and then censored) the fact that there are now between 1 and 3 billion empty homes…. this is bad
This is why China could report rapid economic growth every year for the last 20 years. They were literally borrowing money, digging holes and filling them full of concrete. It was economic growth by borrowing and ‘make work’ schemes.
It’s an economic game to keep the people employed so they don’t see how bad things really are.
