Video of an angry father in the Netherlands lashing out in a court room has gone viral.
Metro.co.uk reports that a motorist killed the angry man’s toddler and her 67- and 64-year-old grandparents instantly – when he went off the road at 120 km/h (75 mph) in a 80 km/h (50mph) zone.
His punishment for killing three people?
120 hours of community service, with the possibility of 60 days in custody if the service hours are not completed.
After the judge’s ruling, the frustrated father threw a chair at the judge – a reaction many of us can understand.
Rubbing salt in the wound of the father, local media reports the killer failed to show any remorse and did not even apologize.
It is unclear at this time if an appeal of the sentence – one being widely recognized as absurdly light – will take place.
How would you react if someone killed your family, was not remorseful, didn’t apologize, and received community service as “punishment”?
