Cleanup efforts were underway in Paris on Sunday, a day after fiery clashes between riot police and ‘Yellow Vest’ protesters.
More than 400 people were reportedly arrested and 100 more injured during the demonstration.
Footage shows a number of burned and vandalised vehicles, destroyed bus stops and shattered windows in the aftermath of the violent clashes.
The demonstrations, which began earlier in the month, were initially called in response to French President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement of fuel tax hikes but have since evolved into an expression of general anger at high costs of living, poverty and inequality in France.
