Hagupit – now a Super Typhoon. Could make direct hit on Manila by Monday!

The US Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center is now showing Hagupit as a Super Typhoon, the strongest of the year with sustained winds reaching 165 kts. The track model just released shows the eye will pass just 50 miles north of Manila. That is and enough in the world’s most densely populated city with 25 million inhabitants, but just imagine if the storm shifts just a bit to the south and makes a direct hit on Manila.

Catastrophic.
