Taray Carey and his husband, Alex, were riding in East Village on Tuesday night when they claim their driver – Denis – launched his verbal and physical assault on them.

- Taray Carey and his husband, Alex, were riding in East Village on Tuesday night with a friend when they claim their driver verbally assaulted them
- ‘Tonight I was thrown out of an #uber by a homophobe,’ Taray said. ”I tried to step out, and he gunned it while my husband was still in the back seat’
- The 27-year-old real estate agent said that he was dragged half a block before he was flung from the Uber while his husband was trapped inside
- After the incident, the trio tried to alert authorities but claimed that responding officers dismissed them
- NYPD released a statement saying that wasn’t the case and Carey asserted that his lawyer would be asking for a copy of their bodycam footage
- Uber said that the driver has been removed from the app
