This is not a political endorsement, this is about the grass roots state of Canada as a democracy.
This is a developing story – Carnegie Community Centre Front Desk has received a report of the censure of Karin Litzcke of the PPC Party from the Federal Election Leaders Debate buy a member in good standing at The CCC. At this time we do not believe CCC security was engaged or asked by the debates organizers Carnegie Community Action Project to detail Karin Litzcke of the PPC Party. A senior security staff member said he had know Idea about it.
Karin of PPC did attend the debate but was not allowed to participate.
This reporter was there at the debate and was asked to write down my question for mic time. My question was what was the position of the other candidates on Karin’s embargo from the debate. I was informed by one of the organizers that they would not be fielding my question.
I asked them what was CCAP’s reason or position. I was told that after looking at twitter and PPC platform they concluded Karin was “transphobic” There was no time for anything more with regards to details of decision.
We will seek to get a copy of the invite and uninvite emails.
Again this is a report in progress.
Karin Litzcke was “uninvited” @ #Vancouver #DTES Federal Election Leaders #Debate due to “Values”
“Karin explains “I was actuality invited to it, then uninvited to it”

Federal inaction is a crime! The crisis of homelessness and opiods: East Vancouver Election Debate

The Carnegie Community Action Project will be hosting an East Vancouver Election Debate on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
Confirmed candidates include:
Communist Party, Peter Marcus
Green Party, Bridget Burns
Liberal, Kyle Demes
NDP, Jenny Kwan
Libertarian, Gölök Buday
Marxist/Lennon, Anne JamiesonThe Carnegie Community Action Project (CCAP) works to increase welfare rates, improve social housing, and slow gentrification in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES). CCAP works with english speaking and Chinese speaking DTES residents in speaking out on their own behalf for the changes they would like to see in their neighbourhood.
Neglect, corruption, poisoning and homelessness — federal inaction in the Downtown Eastside is a crime! The debate will be themed around housing, the opiod crisis, and the plight of the Downtown Eastside. In an environment of corrupt landlords, big developers and encroaching gentrification, legislated poverty and police brutality, how do we achieve equity and inclusion? How do we house 2,223 homeless people (**an undercount) when the National Housing Program doesn’t even start building affordable housing till after 2020 and will only deliver about 400 units per year in Vancouver? How can we respond to a poisoned drug supply and overdose crisis so extreme that life expectancy has dropped in the Downtown Eastside, and still no major party supports a safe drug supply?
CCAP invites community members to share their thoughts and questions for candidates.
