Middle East Is Experiencing Something They Haven’t Since TheTimes Of The Biblical Plagues

For centuries, Christians have watched the skies for signs of the second coming of Jesus Christ, awaiting the heavenly trumpet call that will signal then end of earthly trials and temptation.

However, as we near the end of time and approach the final judgement, the spiritual wisdom is bestowed upon through the study of the scriptures, revealing things that baffled the most studied scholars for years.

Not only have the revelations come as a spiritual gift because of our hunger for the word of God, but it is also made more evident through the actual occurrences that bring the prophesies into fruition before our very eyes.

For years, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has struggled for control over the Nile river, attempting to come to an agreement on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, only to find the outcome causing devastating damage. This damage was so feared that previous Egyptian leaders have threatened war with Ethiopia if their water source was compromised.

Although the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt was thought to have been resolved, the recent agreement is causing the Nile to dry up, threatening severe famine and plague that could escalate to magnanimous proportions.

The Euphrates river is also becoming a cracked wasteland, with the Tigris-Euphrates basin threatening Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, according to the Smithsonian.

Although there are simple explanations for both the longest river in the world and the most historically important river in Western Asia drying up, experts and reporters fail to acknowledge that this was all prophesied and warned of in the Bible.

“The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry. The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither, also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more.” Isaiah 19:5-7

The Bible clearly and literally warns that the Nile will dry up so much that plant life will wither. However, the warning gets much worse.

“The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away. Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope. The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.” Isaiah 19:8-10

The crops, textiles, and even the wildlife will cease to provide for those who have made their lives off of the land and water. Not only will local farmers and fishermen suffer, but all who depend upon the river for water for livestock and travel and trade. With much of the water being used for irrigation, the suffering from this would unimaginable.

“The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.” Revelation 16:12

The prophesy doesn’t just mention the Nile, which was one of the most important waterways in ancient history, but it also curses the Euphrates by name as well.

“The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.” Isaiah 11:15

Not only will these two rivers be effected by their own drying up, many nations throughout the Middle East will experience devastation beyond belief.

“Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord. Because you said, ‘The Nile is mine; I made it,’ therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush.” Ezekiel 29:9-10

Migdol is biblically defined as the region of Upper Egypt. Aswan is a modern city near the southern border of Egypt, well-known now for its magnificent dam on the Nile. Cush describes the Arabian Peninsula, a vast region that includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

We also know that because the Euphrates is involved as much as the Nile, the damage will extend all the way up through Turkey, the country that holds the sources of the river.

The prophesy will be dire to those who are unprepared, as God commands that the whole of Egypt “will become a desolate wasteland” because of their persecution of God’s children.

This phenomenal prophesy extends from Sudan all the way up to Turkey, including all the countries of the Arabian Peninsula in between. In total, at least 10 countries or more face devastating consequences, but not just because of their vengeance upon their own Christian citizens.

“Therefore, son of man, give the mountains of Israel this message from the Sovereign LORD: Your enemies have attacked you from all directions, making you the property of many nations and the object of much mocking and slander.

therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, the ravines and the valleys, the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become a prey and derision to the rest of the surrounding nations.

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My jealous anger burns against these nations, especially Edom, because they have shown utter contempt for me by gleefully taking my land for themselves as plunder.

Therefore, prophesy to the hills and mountains, the ravines and valleys of Israel. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am furious that you have suffered shame before the surrounding nations.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I swear that the nations that are all around you shall themselves suffer reproach.” Ezekiel 36:3-8

No matter what you believe, there’s no denying that these prophesies appear to be coming around full circle, and Israel remains virtually unharmed in the midst of enemies 600 times her size who all seek her destruction.

Not only are these warnings directed at the enemies of God, including the Muslim nations who are commanded by Allah to slaughter the “people of the book,” they are the signal for the Jews to return to their God-given land, and a sign to us all that we must support Israel now more than ever.
