Huge tides triggered by the the rare alignment of the sun, moon and earth are threatening to cause flooding across parts of the country.
The Environment Agency has issued 10 flood warnings and 44 flood alerts overnight, mainly in coastal areas.
Most at risk from the supertide are parts of the River Wye estuary in Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire, and north-east of England.
This comes as weathermen are predicting a fresh band of heavy rain tomorrow.
