Seriously…. This is not click bait or satire (Not that we are known for that). For some this will not come as no surprise at all, this is California after all. All in-credulousness aside, under the surface this sounds like the playbook of the UN….
See “Fact Sheet No.21, The Human Right to Adequate Housing” https://www.un.org/ruleoflaw/files/FactSheet21en.pdf
So what does “Adequate Housing” mean?
2. Availability of services, materials and infrastructure All beneficiaries of the right to adequate housing should have sustainable access to natural and common resources, clean drinking water, energy for cooking, heating and lighting, sanitation and washing facilities, food storage facilities, refuse disposal, site drainage and emergency services.
A, HHS, DHS, or FEMA camp would qualify…
As well if a person is under a Dr’s care and they prescribe them housing… Does that not make them legally incompetent to manage / govern their own affairs and thus a ward or child of the state / province? I think so, more fund$ in this.
Note we live in age and time where we do not have a cohesive multi-generational family unit and or the economic ability (for the majority of the populace) and sending our relations to the retreats / spa’s to “take to the waters” or being warehoused in sanitariums and or forcibly confined to psychiatric institutions.
Here is a article on Newsom claims:
As reported by The Washington Examiner:
California governor: ‘Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing’
Doctors may start prescribing homes to sick patients as part of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s plan for a holistic solution to healthcare and homelessness.
In a series of tweets on Friday, the Democrat argued healthcare and homelessness are not separate problems. He suggested doctors should be able to prescribe a place to stay if they are treating a mentally ill person who does not have stable housing.
“Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing the same way they do for insulin or antibiotics,” Newsom said. “We need to start targeting social determinants of health. We need to start treating brain health like we do physical health. What’s more fundamental to a person’s well being than a roof over their head?”

Newsom doubles down and pushes this even further:
Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing the same way they do for insulin or antibiotics.

This is how the twitter-sphere reacts:
"Hi this is Karen from CVS. I'm calling to verify a prescription for a three-bedroom two-bath ranch style home."
