The announcement came during a Q&A session held at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. At the session, Business Insiderexplains, Zuckerberg said it was a “special” day because he could announce that they were “working on it and shipping it.” He didn’t announce a launch date, but added that they were hoping it would be ready soon.
Zuckerberg has answered questions about a potential dislike button before. Last year, asked if Facebook would implement the button he said they were “thinking about it.”:
At the same Q&A from last year, Zuckerberg said that he didn’t think there “needs to be a voting mechanism on Facebook about whether posts are good or bad.”
