Washington, DC ā The United States Mint today announced the Caitlyn Jenner Commemorative Gold Coin, celebrating the courage of Bruce Jenner and his transformation into āCaitlynā. The coin will be available by mail and online at usmint.gov beginning July 4th.
āThis coin symbolizes a shared history and friendship with the sports star,ā said U.S. Mint Director Paul Horner. āWhat a beautiful way to celebrate being brave and who you really are, and isnāt that what the American dream is all about?ā Horner continued, āThe Caitlyn Jenner Commemorative Coin is the perfect collectible for all young and old, and especially those who are brave and curious about their own sexuality.ā
The detailed coin, designed respectively by the United States, is minted by the United States Mint. One side features the face of Caitlyn and on the other side shows Caitlyn in a bikini with the caption āDonāt Be Afraid To Be Braveā along with fireworks and an American Eagle in the background. The coin is legal tender and is struck from 14.1 grams of pure gold. The coin comes packaged in a handsome satin-lined presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity and information about living life as transsexual.
