Biologist Jeremy Griffiths says there needs to be a “reality check” and Australia must “face the extent of what eucalypts really are”.
Mr Griffiths told Sky News hosts Alan Jones and Graham Richardson the South Coast “looks like a bomb has gone off” following devastation from the bushfires .
“There is going to be a post-mortem and we need to get it right from here on,” he said and also, “face the truth of the real nature of eucalypts.
“They are incinerators from hell dressed up as trees”.
