The chief financial officer of Chinese tech giant Huawei is due to appear for a hearing which will determine whether she will be extradited to the United States to face charges of violating US sanctions on Iran. China has called the arrest of Huawei’s CFO a ‘despicable rogue’ action. Beijing also expressed concerns over reports that Japan plans to ban government purchases of telecoms equipment from Huawei and another Chinese company, Z-T-E.
