India’s human spaceflight program starts Dec 18, when its newest, biggest rocket will launch a “mini Orion” unmanned test vehicle. Manned missions are expected from 2021.

ISRO – Indian Space Research Organisation‘s chairman has said they’ll let the younger generation decide. Our favorites: gaganaut (gagana = ‘the heavens’) and brahmanaut (brahmand = ‘universe’).
