Man charged after revenge website created to ‘destroy’ ex-wife

Patrick Fox, aĀ Burnaby, B.C., manĀ who told CBC in February that he created a websiteĀ toĀ “destroy” his ex-wife, has beenĀ charged in CanadaĀ with criminal harassment and a weapons offenceĀ after he was arrestedĀ by U.S. border agents in Washington state.

“It doesn’t take down the website and it doesn’t stop the things that are still happening,”Ā said DesireeĀ Capuano, who has been trying to get the siteĀ shut down for two years.

“I’m very thankful to the Crown for understanding the seriousness of the situation and taking action,”Ā she saidĀ fromĀ her lawyer’s office inĀ Tucson,Ā Ariz.

Capuano, who hasĀ custody of their teenage son in Arizona, first complained toĀ RCMPĀ last summer, sayingĀ she feared for her lifeĀ and was being constantly harassed on aĀ websiteĀ Fox created.

Fox, who is also known by his birth name of RichardĀ Riess, appeared on June 17 in Vancouver provincialĀ court where he was charged with criminal harassment and possession of firearms in an unauthorized location.

Police allege the crime began on Jan 11, 2015, which is the same day Fox sentĀ an emailĀ toĀ CapuanoĀ statingĀ heĀ intended “to do everything in my power and capabilities to make your life as miserable as possible.ā€¦Ā to the point that you ultimately commit suicide.ā€¦ it is imperative that you experience as much misery, disappointmentĀ and suffering as possible first.”

That and subsequentĀ emailsĀ are published on theĀ website,Ā which is hosted in Iceland.

‘This website will still be here’

Fox said in an earlier interviewĀ heĀ wouldĀ not takeĀ down the website until his ex-wifeĀ is dead orĀ “destitute and homeless.”

“Tomorrow, and next month, and next year, this website will still be here.ā€¦ to make Desiree’s life a little more dreary,” reads the most recent post, four days before FoxĀ was arrested in Washington.

“All of your whining and complaining, all of your talk of getting the government, the police, and the prosecutors to do something about it, has accomplished abso-f–king-lutely nothing!” he posted. More at Source
